Taiwan- Alpaca Cafe & Danshui

Went to this cafe to see the alpacas
Alpaca is a long-haired domesticated South American mammal related to the ilama
It is valued for its fine, long wool
Very few people rear this kind of animal in Taiwan as they must be imported
And it is unprofitable to rear them
So this cafe gave us an opportunity to dine with alpaca
It will walk around the cafe
You can touch it
You can take as many pictures as you like
You can even get a chance to feed it with carrots
But you must order something to eat or drink
The price was not cheap
Feeding it with carrot
We had a hard time deciding what to order to eat or drink
As we already had a meal before going to the cafe
So all of us was not hungry at all
Plus the price was quite expensive
Eventually we decided to order only drinks and waffles
Having our desserts before dinner > <

It kept coming to our table after one of us fed it with carrot

Waffles with ice-cream

Hot cocoa with marshmallows
The food was just so-so
Was expecting something more
Anyways
We had a great time chit-chatting with each other
Listening to Mr Xun telling us stories
Mr Xun was a very experience tour guide
His knowledge of geography, history and politics will surely surprise you
He was also the nicest and friendliest driver I met in Taiwan
I have learnt so much about Taiwan from him!
What's more
We were even allowed to go outside of the cafe to see more alpacas
And they gave us carrots to feed them
It wanted to follow us to go outside
There were so many of them outside. All waiting for food!
Looking so pity~
They actually kept the wool of the alpacas in the containers
Some was sewn into scarves
They were not for sale

The wool
The boss of the cafe
The boss taught us how to differentiate between the wool of a sheep and the wool of an alpaca
He even let us feel the wool of an alpaca
Which will make you feel warmer faster than the wool of a sheep
Last destination of the day-Danshui
We reached there around 8pm
Personally
I think that it was the coldest place in Taiwan
I suffered from flu and cough because of that place
So people
Do not go at night if you are afraid of cold
We chose the wrong time to go
We were shivering when taking pictures
Only stayed for a few minutes as none of us could stand the cold
Felt so cold even with the jackets
The Lover's Bridge

Only took a few pictures and quickly went back into the car
We drove past Danshui Old Street
Wanted to try Agei
As it was only available in Danshui
Luck was not with us
The shop selling Agei was closed
Wrong timing again?
Call it a day
Night~
